Wanted Bicyclist On Crack Cocaine Arrested Easter Sunday, Camp Hill Police Say

A bicyclist making traffic violations was stopped by officers and discovered to be high on crack cocaine, Camp Hill police announced on April 1.

The unidentified 28-year-old male cyclist from Dillsburg was pulled over by Camp Hill Police for a traffic stop "after vehicle code violations were observed at the intersection of North 33rd Street and Walnut Street," on Easter Sunday, March 31 at 11:04 p.m., as detailed in the release.

Officers soon discovered the bicyclist was wanted on "multiple active arrest warrants, including a bench warrant out of the York County Sheriff's Office related to retail theft and an arrest warrant out of the Susquehanna Township Police Department for theft," the Camp Hill police said.

As the officers were arresting him on those active warrants, the bicyclist was found in "possession of crack cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia indicative of crack cocaine use," the police said.

He has been held in the Cumberland County Prison on the following charges:

  • Resisting Arrest.

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance.

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
